Heidi is a NCCAOM certified acupuncturist licensed in the state of New York. She received her masters in acupuncture from the Tri-State College of Acupuncture (TSCA), one of the oldest acupuncture schools in the United States. In addition to studying Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Heidi also trained in 2 additional unique styles of acupuncture, Acupuncture Physical Medicine (APM) developed by Mark Seem, which includes myofascial and trigger point release techniques, and a Japanese style based upon classical Chinese and Japanese acupuncture and western biomedical concepts developed by Kiiko Matsumoto. Each of these styles provides incredibly beneficial approaches to treatment. Heidi utilizes all three of them in her practice, choosing the most suitable techniques according to each patientís needs and condition.

Heidi also did additional training in China where she attended daily acupuncture rounds at several Beijing hospitals and lectures on topics such as specialized needling techniques, infertility, sports medicine, and skin disorders.
